In market now, there are alot of well known Franchise brand such as CHATIME, GONG CHA, DONG CHA and etc. From trendy coffee drinks like Starbucks/Coffee beans to new drinks craze that is going right now especially the Asian communities, Bubble tea.

Bubble tea, Its a mixtures of a drinks and  a form of tapioca balls called pearl served with ice cool or piping hot that you suck up with big fat straw . This drink is far from the plain looking tea like Black Tea, Milk tea, Green tea, Smoothies, Coffee, Lemon Tea, Yogurt lime tea, Longan tea, Oolong Tea and etc. There are alot more of flavours to try and you may choose the sweetness that you required. This is an non-alcoholic and non carbonated drink.

Raisin Oatmeal Biscuit

I wanna bake a biscuit and i was browsing through Wendy's blog and i found this recipe, Yeah, i told myself this is the one. This is my 1st attempt of making a biscuits myself. So i decided to give it a try and hopefully it turns our well. Origin's recipe is using Cherries but i don't like cherries, so i changed it to Sultanas. This Biscuits is meant to be soft and not crunchy like other biscuits.

(Receipe from Wendy's Blog)
Ingredients :

100gm Dried Sultanas, chopped
1egg beaten
1tsp Vanilla extract
(Mix chopped sultanas, beaten egg and vanilla together. Let it sit until the eggs are absorbed by sultanas)

115gm Salted Butter, softened in room temperature
100gm brown sugar
125gm quick cooking oat
115gm all purpose flour, sifter with 1tsp baking powder and 1tsp baking soda
120gm mixed nuts, chopped ( i love to have it with more nuts)

Method:

1. Combine sifted flour with oats
2. cream the butter with brown sugar until light and fluffy
3. Mix in half of (1) then the sultanas and all that is in the bowl
4. mix in the balance of (1). then mix in the nuts
5. Preheat oven to 180c
6. Roll balls of dough and place them on baking tray.
7. Bake for 20-25mins (w/o fan oven). Place on racks to cool down before packing it into containers.

My 1st attempt was successful. It was tasted by My Hubby, Sister and Sister In Law and comment was NICE, YUMMY and GOOD. I am so happy to hear the compliments from those who have tried it.

So this will be my mission for next year CNY 2012, for my family members and all my best friends.

Cloudy Day

After a heavy downpours yesterday, today's weather is so confusing. It's HOT but cloudy with slight rain.

How do you start your day with? I started my day with a cup of HAI PENG 3in1 Coffee bought at Kemaman Trengganu and i had A1 Bak Kut Teh Instant Noodle with Chicken Balls and Luncheon Meat. Does'nt it sound yummy, hmm for me YES. For those who are craving for Bak Kut Teh and too lazy to go out to buy it, you can try A1 Bak Kut Teh Instant Noodle to hold your craving. Well, its a little bit salty but still have the taste of bak Kut Teh.

As for HAI PENG Coffee, for those who has been there, they should know their famous item is kopi and toast bread. Th kopi, textures is smooth, smokey and the aroma was so inviting to begin with, if you are having there. As for the pre-packed 3in1, the taste is not as good as you having it there. You can't find the same taste and textures of the coffee in anywhere else, except in Kemaman Trengganu. You may find kopi kemaman in CHAWAN but its totally different from the origin taste.

Kopi kemaman ... Must try !!!!
