Singapore Trip (21/11 ~ 25/11)

 After 4mths, Now im going to Singapore again. I miss Singapore. I took 10am Bus (Aeroline) and reached Harbour Front at 3pm. I feel so tired taking bus...Gosh. After i reached i got myself a Hicard and straight get a cab to Compassvale (Thomas's home). I have rest for awhile while waiting for Ming2. Then we headed to Steamboat as usual with Ann. This is extremely full. Thats it for the 1st day 1st night.

Today is the Fresh new day (Tuesday 22/11) I took LRT to Sengkang for breakfast at Yakun after that i headed to Orchard. Orchard fulls of Elephant, so beautiful. 1st shop to PRADA PARAGON. The 1st things i bought was PRADA oh oh oh ..... my quota is over. I bought a bag for myself and a card holder for HIM. Then esprit and bought quite a numbers of cloths too.Ooppsss i bought 4 pairs of shoes at MITJU, how can i missed this out. Today i had fruitful shopped. Dinner Im meeting Yvonne, Connie, Timothy and Nyeintoe for dinner at GoldenMile for Thai food....Sumptous Meal and delicious.

2nd day, I met Doris at orchard again and we had our brunch at Marche. We went to H&M. This is my 1st time to H&M, unbelievable, the things there are beautiful and full of variety. I bought 2 scarfs and a little dress for Valerie. Then we headed to MBS to walk around. Dinner we met with Ann to AMOY STREET for Korean food (Red Pig Korean BBQ)

3rd Day, I had spend all my moneys and A LOTS of money on the 1st 2 days, so today i just wanna walk ard and eat. So i went to Parkway Parade with my new Prada bag and met Ann for lunch. After Lunch Ann wanna go to Mark and Spencer to look for a heels. While we walking ard, i saw a  boots and tried it. OMG, i cant let it go. Should i buy or shouldnt? But how am i going to resists such a nice boots. It cost me SGD150. Gosh..... so i walked around and go home. I had 2 upsize yakun Ice Coffee ....At nite we went to Geylang for Dimsum with Ming2 and Thomas. I didnt know Geylang got such a deliciousd Dimsum and its cheap too.

4rd day, early morning we went to eat Porridge at Commonwealth before  driving back to PJ.

I had a very very fruitful trip. Im so happy that i own a PRADA now,I always feel happy and sunshine when i shopping, everyone said im a Shopoholic and i think I AM .... lol

Vegetables



For those who know me, I dont eat VEGE, i hate it very much. I hate most is beansprout. But i always got NAGS from alot of people. Now i started to eat some but i still if i can, i will skip the VEGE. Whenever i cook, I must cook a dish of Vege for my Husband. My Husband love to eat vege alot. For vege, nothing much you can cook with, so i try to make it more presentable. My mum braised me some Mushroom so i can add it to the dish.

Breakfast

I woke up one day and i feel so vexed, thinking what should i eat for breakfast or shoud it be Lunch, its already 11am. I saw i have some honey and banana, so i decided to heat up a piece of Roti Prata, add some honey on it and banana. Is it too Fattening? But once in a while i told myself its ok.

Butter Cheese Cupcake

I was thinking what should i do with the excess flour, butter and sugar. I cant keep all these stuff for too long. So i start to browse some blog and i found this Cheese Cupcake at http://www.anncoojournal.com . Simple and easy but i did some modify. Due to i don't have Cheddar Cheese, i use slice cheese for bread and i only have 4 slices. The taste of cheese not enough, shall put more next try.

Ingredients : (13-15 cupcakes)

150gm Butter, room temperature
120gm Sugar
3 eggs
170gm Self Raising Flour
100gm Cheese Grated
1 1/2 tsp (7-8ml) Full Cream Milk

Method :

1. Preheat Oven at 180c
2. Put Sugar, butter and eggs together and beat
3. Slowly mix in the flour at low speed until evenly mix
4. Add in grated cheese and milk and mix for 30seconds
5. Scoop batter into the cup
6. Bake at 180c for 30mins
7.Cool on rack

Steamed Minced Meat Tau Pok

Ingredient :


100gm minced Meat
3 Big tau pok, cut into half
1tsp Soya Sauce
Dash of pepper
1tsp Corn Flour
6 Prawns, peeled


Method :


1. Marinated the minced meat with Soya Sauce, pepper and corn Flour
2. Cut Tau pok in center, stuff in minced meat and put prawn on top.
3. Steam on high heat for 15-20mins







BitterGourd Soup

Bittergourd looks like a cucumber but its more ugly gourd likes a bump all over it. Bittergourd are very low calories but dense with precious nutrients.

Bittergourd also used in tradition medicine for several other ailments like fever, menstrual pain, colic, skin problem and etc. It also can relieve heat on body. This generally consumed cooked on Chinese cooking like stir fried, soup or steam. Bittergourd has bitter flavour, some people hated it and some liked it because of its bitterness. Last time i don't like it but now i getting to love it.

Ingredients :
(serve for 2 person)


300gm Pork Loins 
1 Bittergourd
10-15 White Pepper, smashed
2 Carrots
Salt for marinate 
1.5Litre water
Salt to taste


Method :


1. Cut bittergourd into pieces (discard the seeds) and marinate with salt ( To lower the bitterness) for 30mins
    and rinse
2. Peel and cut the carrot into slanting chunks
3. Boil water, put in the bittergourd, carrot and pork loins
4. Boil for 2hours
5. Season with salt




Here are some Health Benefits to Share :



Few other fruits/vegetables offer medicinal properties for these ailments like bitter melon does.
Blood disorders:  Bitter gourd juice is highly beneficial for treating blood disorders like blood boils and itching due to toxemia.  Mix 2 ounces of fresh bitter gourd juice with some lime juice.  Sip it slowly on an empty stomach daily for between four and six months and see improvement in your condition.
Cholera:  In early stages of cholera, take two teaspoonfuls juice of bitter gourd leaves, mix with two teaspoonfuls white onion juice and one teaspoonful lime juice.  Sip this concoction daily till you get well.

Respiratory disorders:  Take two ounces of fresh bitter melon juice and mix with a cup of honey diluted in water.  Drink daily to improve asthma, bronchitis and pharyngitis.
Toxemia:  Bitter gourd contains beneficial properties that cleanses the blood from toxins.  Sip two teaspoonfuls of the juice daily to help cleanse the liver.  Also helpful in ridding jaundice for the same reasons.

Chilli Chicken

I remembered my Aunt teaches my mom to cook this chicken when i was young. I can still remember the taste, Hot and spicy. I love this. So i asked my mom to teach me how to cook it.

Ingredient : 

Half a Chicken, cut into pieces
4 tbsp of Chilli Powder
6-10 Birdeye chilli, chopped
4 shallot, chopped
2 clove of garlic, chopped
dash of pepper 
1 tbsp of soya sauce
1tsp of oil
1 big lime

**Chilli Powder, and Birdeyechilli, you can add more if you prefer more spicy.

Method :

1. Marinate the chicken with Chilli Powder, Shallot, pepper and soya sauce for 1-2 hrs
2. Heat the wok in medium heat, put in the oil. Add in garlic, fry it till light brown then add in birdeye chilli. Stir 
    it for awhile.
3. Put in pieces chicken on the wok and stir it. Add some water.
4. Let it simmer till the chicken cooked. 
5. Add in lime juice and Dish up.

Cha Siew

I always wanted to learn how to make Cha Siew. My friend, Esther, gave me a recipe and she said it so easy to make. So i give it a try and YES, I succeed. I cooked this for my Hubby, brother, sister and SIL for dinner. They all said it taste so good :)

Ingredient :

500 gm Pork belly
2 tbsp of Lee Kum Kee Cha Siew Sauce
4 tbsp of lee Kum Kee Seafood Sauce

(Tbsp = Chinese soup spoon)

Method :

1. Mix the 2 sauces together in a small bowl
2. Apply it on the Pork belly evenly and marinated it best overnight. Keep it int he fridge
3. Preheat Oven @ 170c for 10mins
4. Put the marinated Cha Siew on the rack in the preheated oven @ 170c for another 30-40mins
5. Slice and serve it hot
